Laser Tattoo Removal
(Laser tattoo removal is effective due to the fact the moment ink is put into the body, the body’s immune response kicks in trying to remove the foreign particles, however the cells that are sent to remove the foreign bodies are too small for the large ink particles and little is achieved.
A Q-Switched laser is used breakup the ink particles to smaller, easier fragments to be remove.)
The laser is pulsed over the tattoo; the energy is absorbed by the ink particles which then shatter into tiny fragments. In the days following the laser procedure, the body’s natural immune cells engulf the tiny fragments and the body’s immune system will flush away the shattered ink particles and cause the tattoo to fade.
Laser tattoo removal is the only effective removal method proven to not leave scarring.
