IPL Hair Removal- Intense Pulse Light (IPL), Super Hair Removal (SHR) and E-Light
This Accredited IPL Hair Removal Short Course encompasses three units of competency, including pre requisite units.
SHBBHRS008 Accredited Design Intense Pulsed Light Hair Reduction Treatment Programs
SHBBHRS009 Accredited Provide Intense Pulsed Light Hair Reduction Treatments
SHBBHRS005 Identify and control safety risks for intense pulsed light and laser hair reduction treatments
IPL– Intense Pulse Light is sometimes referred to as flash lamp therapy. This technology delivers intense pulses of non-coherent light over a broad spectrum of wavelengths, this light is attracted to the melanin in the hair which is heated to the point of destruction, removing unwanted hair without damage to the surrounding tissues.
SHR – Super Hair Removal is the latest innovation in IPL technology, it is faster, easier and less painful. SHR technology works similarly to traditional IPL hair removal but instead of delivering individual high-intensity shots to the treatment area, SHR gradually heats the chromophore (hair) with repetitive low fluence pulses until the hair follicle is destroyed, resulting in stunted hair regrowth or complete elimination of the hair follicle.
E-light– E-Light combines the advantages of IPL and bi-polar radiofrequency to create more efficient target absorption, delivering bulk heating which is transmitted through each hair down to the bulb, the sudden rise in temperature causes the hair to separate from its follicle. Radiofrequency is independent of melanin, therefore independent of skin and hair type, which means that through radiofrequency there is the potential to remove light grey, blonde and red hair, which is not possible by IPL technology alone.
