Application of Peels
Peels involve applying chemical solutions to the skin in a controlled manner. Peels work in a variety of ways to stimulate cell renewal, refine, rejuvenate and hydrate the skin, as well as regenerate and resurface damaged skin. After the peel, the skin regenerates as the injured skin renews itself through the growth of new cells.
Peels are a popular skin rejuvenation surface treatment. By offering this treatment in salon or your dermal practice, you will be able offer it as a complimentary skin rejuvenation treatment.
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to safely apply chemical peels in beauty therapy and dermal treatments. It will also provide you with underpinning theoretical knowledge.
This unit covers knowledge and practical aspects of chemical peels, enzyme peels and medical strength peels as well as knowledge of Medium and Deep peels (only legally performed my doctors).

A Statement of Attainment will be issued upon completion.
